Safety Precaution : Defective fuel tank of the Battle of Britain class
| Aster Hobby Co.,Inc. would like to notify all owners of the Aster Battle of Britain class locomotives that a fuel tank contained in kit may leak due to a crack in the inside brass vent pipe. Leaky fuel tank may result in burns or a fire. These however can be avoided by an easy check-up. Test your tank before attempting to operate your model. Fuel tank Leak Test Fill tap water at 80% full level in the tank and close the filler cap and the needle valve. Place the tank on a level block or in the assembled tender in a vertical standing position. Leave the tank for 30 minutes. If a leak is noticed, return the tank to Aster Hobby Co.,Inc. or to a local Aster representative. You will have a new tank immediately. Your safety is of the utmost importance for us.
